Venue
The conference will be held at the Habitat World Convention Centre, Lodi Road, Delhi
The Tuesday reception will be in the central courtyard (see web site). The banquet will be elsewhere- probably in a historic temple.
The Venue is located near the centre of New Delhi.
Conference hotels will be within 5-10 mins walking or taxi distance. Hotel prices range from $40 to $ 100, for *** to **** accommodation, 5* hotels are also available close by but expect to pay $ 175 or more. Hotel booking and travel arrangements can be made through Sahara Global (RE'07 Official Event Manager).
Delhi is served by all major airlines from Europe (Paris, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam). Flight time is approximately 8-9 hours from Europe and the time difference is 4.5 hours (India is 4.5 hours ahead of Europe). The easiest way to get around is by taxi or by auto rickshaws (Autos to the locals). Taxis cost about 150 Rupees for an average ride Autos about 30 Rp.
Currently the exchange rate is £ 1 = 80Rupees, 1 $ = 45 Rupees and 1 Euro = 55 Rupees.
The temperature in October should be warm but not too hot, about 22-27 centigrade, with the chance of the odd shower.
